I'm Still Alive -Barely (T.T)

I'm posting because I feel guilty. (^///^) The ficlet below is something that's been stored in my phone for centuries, so I thought to post it up so that I can save some more space in my phone memory. (^W^)

A/N: Not for the faint-hearted. This comes from a nightmare of mine.

* * *

/Splish splash/ The footsteps on a puddle of rainwater broke the eerie silence of the night. There was someone chasing her. A figure in black. Feminine...based on the curves she spotted when the moonlight peeled through the clouds.

/Huff huff pant pant/ She have been running ever since...ever since when exactly? A stab of chilly foreboding sent her legs flying again. She was tired (ohsotired!) but her instincts were telling (screamingather,tearingatherears!) her to runrunrun! Her chest is close to bursting, and her limbs! No doubt will there be a horrible ache the next morning. Assuming she got out alive...the thought bought along a wave of fiery ice rushing through her veins.

/There!/ Light, shadows, laughter, colourful decorations...A carnival? A crowd to hide her -she was going to be safe! The thought bought along another adrenaline rush, this time with the promise of not having to lie in a pool of her own blood. A teeny tiny voice in her head questioned herself: a carnival at 3 in the morning? Her feet ceased movement too late. A circular spotlight was aimed at her, almost blinding her eyes. Eerie music floated to her ears...the kind in Victorian music boxes. Her electric green eyes (eyesofacatgreen) scanned her surroundings -no one. She could have sworn she'd seen and heard people. A black shadow caught her attention. Her eyes widened and a scream threatened to spill (andcutthestill,stillair). She'd recognised her own silhouette anywhere. Her twin-doppelganger-evil side? was melding itself onto her while grinning blankly. She heard a shrill scream laced with pure horror -hers.

*

She awoke tangled in her bedsheets. Cold sweat slid down her temples, and her mouth was open wide -in a silent scream. The sky was still dark, and it was a Saturday. She could still get a few more hours of sleep...if only the image of some scary and grotesque corpse would stop floating behind her lids when she closed her eyes.

Her eyes drifted to her open window and everything flooded back to her. Her green eyes widened in horror, mouth open in a scream, limbs shaking violently.

It was the figure in black -her silhouette.

The last 2 paragraphs were recently added. Crazy punctuations too. That's because my phone can't italicise itself. (>x<!) I'm not that mean to leave a cliff-hanger. (n_n) Don't make me sad by plagiarising. (>.<)
