Pets Part 1

Indroduction

If you want to have a pet,you must be very responsible and devoted to your pet (i.e. spend time with them). Frankly speaking, I have yet to own a pet,but my siblings and I wanted one. My eldest sister wants a cat, my older brother wants a dragon (his unleashing his imagination) and I want a puppy.

Why have a pet?

People want pets because...
  • research shows that it may help reduce stress;
  • make their owner happy, whether they are elderly, adults, adolescents or children;
  • spend time with their owner;
  • promotes faster healing
  • improve owner's emotional health, e.g. help calm you when you are angry.

But what they don't know is that when they brought it home after a few days, they realise how hard and difficult it is to take care of them. This brings me to the next point.

Why people don't want pets

People don't want pets is because of several reasons... I'm going to jot down the reasons below.
  1. Money: Buying a pet means you have to buy pet-related stuff before you buy a pet. Also, what will happen when they get sick? You will have to pay for their medicinal fees. Not to mention the vaccines, licenses etc. that pet owners must have before they can purchase one.
  2. Difficulty of taking care of pets: Taking care of pets is way too much responsibity. You have to groom it, take it out for walks and all that!
More information will be given at part 2. So please wait patienty. Thank you!
