In (♥_♥) with Lolita Fashion

I'm smitten...by lolita fashion! I have always been interested in lolita fashion but had not seriously researched it; and frankly, this isn't the time to with my major exams coming up and all... Anyways, from my surfing the net, I've found out various sorts of information regarding lolita fashion. (Did I mentioned that I'm awed by the various information I've found? (*^*) )

First and foremost, what is lolita fashion? Quoting from 'Maiko Kuchiki' who wrote this article on Youth.sg, "Lolita fashion is a fashion subculture in Japan that is primarily influenced by Victorian and Rococo clothing." Further research from here, this fashion is beginning to gain widespread attention, not just in Japan, but in other countries as well. As you have heard, lolita fashion is becoming more of a lifestyle now.

You could learn more about the origins of such a fashion from surfing the web; which I am not keen to type down as I'm on a anti-history strike. Er...long story. But back to the topic!

Purchasing lolita items are rather costly; heck, from BlackAlice's website, you could see that the prices ranges from S$200 or so. But don't be disheartened, buying such items are usually the preferred method to get access to them; but serveral sources say that it would be better to design and create your own. Youtube, wikihow etc...these websites gives you a tutorial on how to design your own lolita dresses.

Now I'm thinking of saving up for my part-time job to purchase materials and the like and seek out help from my avid-cosplaying pals. ^.^ And maybe invest in a little mother-daughter time (you know, to teach me to sew?)

Hands up ^(*-*)^ if you're with me! Hey, the more the merrier, oui?

P.S. Juicy Gossip, as mentioned, would be updated sporadically. I'm in the process of revamping Part V. Please be patient.
